These side steps (nerf bars) are stylish, solid and so easy to put on your pick-up. These fit the pre-drilled holes for mounting on a 2001 F250 supercab. It took less than 15 minutes to put these on. The brackets are labeled "driver front", "passenger rear" etc.. so anyone can so this.My neighbor (who drives an $80K new pick-up) asked me where I bought these since he liked them so much. He's getting a set too.A ten year old could put them on his dads truck. Or moms. As long as you leave the bolts loose until everything is hanging from your truck, it should be no problem. I adjusted everything and then tighten the bolts down without a hitch. Looks great and my wife can get in the truck. These were so easy to install in the factory holes. The only problem is they are so clean and shiny I feel like I need to wash the truck now. These were direct replacement for what I had originally on my truck that rusted out no drilling or modifying neededWould have given it 5 stars but it was a little hard to install.2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty Super CabIn step one of the instructions they say to put in a clip. BEFORE you install the clip take a large blade screwdriver and push it in the clip like it goes on the car to open it just a little, maybe 16th of an inch allowing MUCH easier installation. Note: If you drop the clip inside it's not going to be very easy to get it back.Back Bracket went on like instructions.Front Bracket would not mount vertical per the instructions. The flat washers work better in other places. I could just be my truck, but be aware and make sure the bracket is vertical. The top bolt needs a flat washer between the truck and spacer despite what it says in the instructions plus one under the nut.The rear bolt I just put a flat washer under the nut.The front bottom needed a washer on the outside of my truck, might just be mine. Plus the one under the nut.Hints: Leave all the nuts and bolts very loose to make things line up easily. Mine lined up fine.Completly finish assembling one side before tightening the nuts and bolts tight, see above.I'd buy another set again despite having to figure out where to actually put the washers on my truck. As I pullled my 2001 F250 extended cab into the shed I knew it was time to change out the steps. When I stepped from the cab and put weight on the old, chrome step I felt myself being slowly lowered to the floor. Timing is everything. I did have to cut off several of the old bolts and several broke when I tried to take them off. NE Ohio is tough on road vehicles. Putting the new step on the driver's side was easy enough. The directions were very clear. The new step does not seem to be as stiff as the previous step was before rust ate it away. We will have to see if the new steps last twenty years. Oh, I just did the driver's side. When it gets warmer I will replace the passenger's side. These steps came neatly and organized in the box. The steps and hardware for the drivers side and passengers side are wrapped in different cooler plastic. So you would have to try to mix things up! When getting ready to install there wasn't any logo like there were on my old steps and this worried me at first. After comparing old vs new hardware I had no more worries. The new mounting equipment was a lot more heavy duty compared to the old. Overall I was impressed and wouldn't hesitate to buy again!
