It didnt fit correctly. Made for a head that is shaped differently. The helmet it self looked to be a fine bell. Just didnt work for me.This is a great helmet with many features I was looking for. I like that I can switch it up a bit with the removable visor and shield. While there was a little mix up with the initial order, MXSouth came thru with flying colors making sure I was happy with my purchase, and I am. Because of their attention to customer service, I would not hesitate to order from these guys again knowing that they are a reputable vendor. My head measures on the upper medium side. Based off the other reviews I ordered a large, and glad I did! It was a snug fit at first, but got broke in after a few rides. Love the spring loaded shaded shield. The clear shield does tend to move down in high vibration/wind situations. I got caught in some rain, and the water beads up and slides off, the clear shield which is a plus! It’s light weight and comfortable. Good extra protection over a half helmet, and allows for better visibility, and wind to help cool you on a hot summer day over a full face. The helmet is nice and fits well.. but seems wind noise is 7-8 on a scale of 1 to 10 at 70 mph. I ride a motorcycle with an exceptionally good windshield too. With both shields down it's still windy (to me).First the good. I like the look of this helmet. the sun visor helps protect the face shield and sun visor when not wearing the helmet. Now the rest. This runs very small. I wear an XXL and the size chart says they should fit somewhat loosely. Not with this helmet. It was like putting my head in a vice. Amazon did not offer a larger size that I could find, and I looked since reviews said it ran small - it runs VERY SMALL.I bought this specific helmet so I could use the Sena com stuff so I was reluctant to send it back, having purchased the specific (and expensive) parts to use the com stuff. I bought two set of everything. One for me and one for my wife or daughter. My wife's helmet runs small as well and that helmet was orders a size larger. After installing the Sena S10 there was a lot of pain with things pushing against my ears. After modifying the helmet a little I realized I could not return it, so I did a lot of modifications trying to get the Sena speakers where they are actually positioned at the opening of my ear and not pressing against the top edge. The sun visor is very hard to lower. The spring is strong to get it to snap back up, but it does not retract all the way into the helmet. It's also easy to accidently bump the Sena controls while trying to find and sent the sun visor. My daughter actually pulled the visor handle off trying to set it. It's held on with a clip that I was able to put back on.I purchased the tented face shield for my helmet. The helmet sun visor "top thing" snaps in and pulls out. The face shield also snaps in and pulls out. I broke one of the tabs that hold the face shield, but it seems to hold and work okay. Removing and installing these parts is a violent affair. I don't think these snap together parts are going to hold up well after this plastic gets a little old.I regret buying these helmets. As others have stated, the Bell Mag-9 seems to be a little undersized, meaning if you normally wear a medium, order a large as I did. I have several medium helmets from another manufacturer which fit me well and a large size Mag-9 fits me just as well. Some people have complained about this helmet being loud while riding. Yes, it is louder than a full coverage helmet. It's loud because it's an open faced helmet so not much can be done about that.As far as design issues, the lever to operate the tinted drop down visor is extremely stiff to operate, especially when raising the visor. When it does raise, it does so with a very loud bang. Also, it doesn't drop down far enough to be fully useful.Lastly, the so called sun shade on top doesn't extend far enough forward to do much good. It's more of a fashion statement than anything else.I am very happy with the Mag-9. It fit me very nicely as soon as I put it on without having to break it in. Very happy with the pearl white color. Sizing was spot on for me. I like all the features it has. I would recommend this helmet. The reviews are correct. Order one size up. My 12 year old wears a medium. After reading the reviews she ordered a large. The helmet arrived with the shield and one of the top ventilation flow covers loosed but was easy to fix. Following others' comments I/O the L size, I ordered the XL, and was the best thing to do.We ordered this helmet and it was too small. I thought this is going to be a night mare to return...Wrong. The whole experience was great one, even though it didn't fit. LOLVery nice, comfortable helmet. Only issue I had was that it was difficult to mount my own Goldwing comm system on it. I love the little pockets for the earpieces - makes them very stable within the helmetSo far it has met my expectationsComfortable fit, wider view, more airflow and easy sena installation
