This jacket has so many great features. First, it has a removable liner which gives the jacket great air-flow when riding. Second, the extra protection in the spine, shoulders, and elbows makes the jacket as good as a leather one. Living in Southern California I can't speak to the water resistance, but this jacket is everything I want it to be.I was fortunate to buy this jacket for $54.34! I was looking through all the colors and noticed that the gray jacket in the X-large size was a different price. I would suggest you experiment with the different colors and sizes as well in case you get lucky. The other size and color jackets were $121.00. The sizing chart indicated that I should buy a large size. I thought about it for a long time, and then decided that for that price, I should give it a try. The x-large fits me well. The large would have been too small, especially across the stomach. It has a slim fit look. I have not had the zipper problem that many other reviews refer to. It is plastic and I treat it gently. The loops in the liner are also mentioned for breaking. I think the jacket's overall quality is a little cheap. You need to remove the liner with all of the loops and snaps slowly and gently or I can see that they could be broken or torn easily. I am more than satisfied with the jacket because of what I paid for it. Its not a jacket that is going to last a long time If you are not careful with it. If you like quality, you should move onto something else. If you are into value and don't ride for extended periods then this should be considered even at the $121.00 price point. The armor in it is foam and not a high quality either. It has the CME rating on it, but it looks cheap to me. The other positives other than the price is the removable liner and the looks of the jacket. I have commuted to work on the bike all summer without the liner, and even with temperatures close to 100 degrees, the mesh allows a lot of air to pass through. Other reviewers have suggested removing the armor on the back for more air, but I have kept mine in place. As long as I'm moving, I'm surprisingly comfortable. The sleeves can be zippered over my gloves, but I usually leave that open for a little extra air. Obviously at $54.34 it was a great deal for me. The question is, is it worth $121.00? I think it is if you can't afford or don't want to budget anymore for a jacket. If you are rough on things, ride a lot, or have the money, but something with a higher quality. It might however, be the best value priced jacket out there.Good for the priceSo I'm 6'2 and 280lbs and the 3x fits great and doesn't ride up when I ride. I absolutely love this jacket! I've been riding for over 30 years wearing leather jackets exclusively, even in the summer so I was reluctant to purchase/wear a mesh textile jacket... what a moron I've been! This jacket is so much more comfortable and cool and is armored in all the right places. Love it!just rode with jacket and no complaints. no flapping, binding or restricted movement. only 70f outside but ventilated so well i was cool/cold. this should be the bomb when its 85. i am 6'0", 260 and the 2X jacket fit just right over a t-shirt. i would say runs true on size. crash padding in elbows, shoulders and back not noticeable when riding. good value for the money.I previously had a Joe Rocket jacket that was given to me by a friend that I really liked. It was a bit large but I wore it for the protection and it did it’s job very well.Just received this one and the size was spot on. It’s a very nice fit and very comfortable when riding. I removed the inner liner since the weather here in Florida is still a tad warm, even for mid November, but I’m sure that liner will come in handy when the weather cools off. The price was very reasonable, also. I’ve only made two short trips in it but so far, so good. Shoulder pads are not as bulky as the ones on my old Joe Rocket which is nice, but I still have confidence that they will do the job if the need ever arises. And it has enough room inside to wear some thicker warm clothing for those cold rides. The only thing I miss from the old jacket is the neck strap that helps close up the neck area. Not a deal breaker, but I already miss it on the new one. Othey, this is a great jacket for the price and the venting helps keep me cool when the temps are high.I'm 6' and 280lbs. Work out so have the bigger shoulders and chest with no neck they tell me. I normally wear a 2x shirt and jackets. But after reading some of the reviews went with the 3x jacket. As you can see fit me like a glove. The air flow is great. I haven't tried the liner yet as I bought this for the south texas heat. I do enjoy the zippers on the wrist for easy removal. I can see where a waterproof phone/wallet pocket would be nice instead of the mesh. But overall I would buy again once this one is done. I only have a few rides on it now but it doesn't pull at higher speed like some jackets that balloon up.I crashed and did not have a protective jacket on. Tore up my elbow, then bought this jacket. Haven't ridden in the rain with it, but water-resistance was not my main objective with this type of jacket. Just got back from a weekend ride (about 400 miles) and jacket was more comfortable than I thought it would be.Good value.Vorsicht, bekam statt der Motorradjacke einen orangen Kaputzenpulli.Anstatt der bestellten jacke bekam ich einen orangenen Hoodie! Der Stern ist eigentlich auch noch zuviel. No compres nada
